Sound Healing Class Experience
In October, I traveled to Sacramento for work, and the night before my event, I attended Soul Wave Holistics’ New Moon Eclipse Meditation and Sound Bath. That afternoon had been rough, but as soon as Makena (Soul Wave Holistics) began clearing the energy of the class with a crystal pyramid, I felt a shift. She guided us through a meditation that resonated deeply—every word spoke to my heart and soul, aligning effortlessly with what I needed in that moment. We silently set our intentions, and by the end of the session, I felt renewed, as if I had just left a spa. Even though it was a one-time experience in a different city, I intuitively knew I would return.
One evening, while seeking messages from my divine ancestors through tarot, I pulled the 2 of Wands—a reminder that something was on the horizon, urging me to stay open and trust that I was supported. A few days later, I received an email from Soul Wave Holistics about an introductory sound healing course. Instantly, I knew: this was the 2 of Wands my ancestors had shown me. A gift from them.
I attended the Introduction to Sound Healing the day before my solar return in January. That day, I immersed myself in the frequencies of Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, the gong, the ocean drum, and the buffalo drum—each instrument carrying its own vibration, shifting energy, clearing blockages, and restoring harmony. The class was beautifully heart-centered. Mother Lilith made her presence known. Through an oracle card Makena intuitively gifted us, she and my divine ancestors sent me a channeled message: release control and stop overthinking. It was a confirmation of what I had already been hearing earlier in the week from both Mother Lilith and Grandmother Samauma—to slow down and be patient with myself.
The high vibrational sounds left me with an energetic headache, but my soul felt nourished. After class, I communed with Grandfather Hapé and the spirit of Jasmine for self-love. In that sacred space, I felt as if I had watered my roots—my cup overflowing. The next day, on my solar return, I honored my integration process by staying home and resting, allowing the codes from the class to settle within me.
Then, on the powerful 2/22 portal, I returned to Makena’s mastery course. Diving deeper into sound healing, I learned to read chakras using the crystal pyramid and explored client studies, which beautifully complement my Reiki practice. Makena is more than a teacher—she is a soul friend. I feel as though our spirits have known each other in a past lifetime, and in this one, she has become one of my guides. I am deeply grateful for her.
These experiences have opened my heart to the profound magic of sound healing. Sound is vibration, medicine, and energy in motion. I feel called to integrate it into my practice in the future, knowing it will continue to be a powerful tool for healing, transformation, and connection.
